Warden Anson of All Souls lived with three of his seven sisters who were unmarried: Elizabeth, Florence, Gertrude. All three were religious philanthropists, the true initiators of St Margaret's House, Bethnal Green, which performed similar work for young women as Oxford House for men: Henson (ed.), A memoir of Sir William Reynell Anson (1920).
