Geoffrey Robinson, from 1917 Dawson (1874-1944; ODNB), Eton; Magdalen Coll., Oxford; fellow, All Soul's Coll., Oxford, 1898, and estates bursar 1919-23; civil servant in southern Africa, 1899-1905; editor, Johannesburg Star, and correspondent for the London Times, 1905-10; editor, The Times, 1912-19, 1923-41; hugely influential in the world of political leaders, All Soul's, and Oxford, and accepted many of Henson's letters sent for publication in The Times.
