Friday, May 27th, 1927.
I wrote notes for a sermon in Jarrow on Sunday evening next, when the parson desires me to speak about the Revised Prayer Book. It would seem that there is some Protestant opposition developing in his parish.
I told William Bryden that he might stay on for yet another fortnight.
After lunch I walked round the Park. Peter Richardson came to play lawn tennis, & stayed to dinner.
A telegram informed Fearne that her father was dead. She decided to go home on Monday. The funeral is arranged for Wednesday. It would appear that the Stoick philosophy does not lack followers among our younger women.
