Tuesday, December 30th, 1919.
Another woefully wet day. I wrote the article on Church Reform, and despatched it to Edinburgh. I sawed wood with William in the afternoon. Wynne Willson reported himself indisposed, and I fear he has more on his hands than he can wisely bear. We dined with the Bannisters to meet the Dean & Mrs Waterfield, and had much pleasant conversation. He is a pleasant kindly man, disposed to be a good neighbour and likely to be popular. She is certainly an attractive and intelligent woman.
