Ella went off to London by the 8.20 express. The Macdonalds departed after breakfast. I wrote a short letter to the 'Times' calling attention to the centenary of Robertson's birth. Then I worked away at the sermon for S. Margaret's next Sunday morning. I walked with the Bishop of Jarrow after lunch: attended Evensong: and wrote many letters. Voila tout!
