Heavy rain with thunder & lightning. I finished a revision of last Sunday evening's sermon for use in Westminster Abbey on the 25th. During the afternoon I attended a meeting of the Council of the Durham Colleges, & took part in selecting four candidates for the headship of the Woman's Hostel to be interviewed in person. Justice Ridley & Pemberton had tea at the Deanery.
