227th day
Another most glorious morning, but the cold was surprising. About noon it started to snow, & so continued until nightfall with much wind. I walked for an hour in the cloisters with Mary.
I read Lucian's account of 'Demonax'. It is very charming & amusing. He is described in the Dictionary as 'the most distinguished of those who attempted to revive the cynical doctrines in the 2nd century. He probably lived in the time of Hadrian.'
