The weather is warm, and even sultry. This means another rapid and disconcerting thaw in Poland & East Prussia.

I brought that wretched article to completion, & sent it off to Harold Cox. After lunch I walked with Logic, and then attended Evensong. I received another of the Bishop's printed letters, enclosing a copy of Sir Edward Clark's [Clarke] letter about an unanimous declaration of total abstinence by the clergy on Easter Day, and warmly endorsing it.
