Mother & Marion left for the south with the agreeable sentiments inspired by the news of German Bomb–dropping at Yarmouth reported in the morning's newspapers. After attending Mattins in the Cathedral, I worked at the Lecture. After lunch I went into the Cathedral in order to inspect the vaulting, which a recent letter from Macartney describes as in a dangerous condition. He said that he had begun his teaching work at Bangor under Reichel.
