171st day
I spent the morning in finishing the lecture for Newcastle. We all lunched with the Lillingstons. Then I took Jim for a walk round Houghall Wood. The views of the Cathedral were admirable. I attended Evensong in the Cathedral, and then Ella & I motored to Newcastle, where I lectured on "The Christian Doctrine of War" in St James's (Congregational) Church. There was a considerable audience. My lecture took exactly 50 minutes to deliver.
