Wednesday, March 18th, 1914.

We lunched with the Cavendishes at the Prison–Governor's house. Mr Hodgson was one of the party. After lunch I presided at a meeting of the 'Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society', and made a speech.

I ordered the "Dead March" to be played in the cathedral after Mattins & Evensong, as the Funeral of Archdeacon Price took place today at Brookwood.

The "Times" did not arrive until after Evensong.

It contains my letter on the Athanasian Creed.

I attended Evensong in the Cathedral, & then wrote letters to Reggie Still & Ernest Bennett.
