Wednesday, April 23rd, 1913.
I shirked Convocation, where the agenda seemed rather trivial, & released Tucker, who seems to enjoy the futile assembly.
At 2 p.m. I married Miss Apperley to Mr Frank Bell. The Cathedral was thronged with townsfolk.
After the function I walked with Cruikshank on the Banks, & then attended Evensong.
Ella went to Newcastle to hear the Wagner music, & I wrote a number of letters.
My Godson, Gilbert, writes to tell me of his engagement. He expresses himself exstatically [sic] after the manner of persons in his condition.
