Tuesday, December 6th, 1909.
I sent directions to Macmillan to forward copies of the Yale Lectures to the following:–
- Archbishop of Canterbury
- Bishop of Birmingham
- Inge Burge
- Asquith
- Balfour
- The Warden
- The Speaker
- Bishop of Hereford
- Bishop–designate of Norwich
- Bishop of Winchester
- Canon Wilson
On Wednesday, I lunched with Butcher: and dined with Sir Kenneth Muir–Mackenzie.
On Thursday, Mr Silas McBee dined with us.
On Friday, I attended the prize–giving at the Westr City School, and seconded a vote of thanks to the Lord Mayor.
On Saturday, I dined with Gamble, Inge, Pearce, & Bevan made up the party. It is said that H.M. is pressing Pollock of Wellington for Norwich.
I wrote letters to the 'Guardian' & the 'Record' anent the Athanasian Creed.
