I preached on 1.Cor. xv.53.
There was a large congregation at Evensong, and a very jubilant service ending with the "Te Deum". I preached on the text: 'The first Adam was made a living soul: the second Adam became a life–giving Spirit'.
At supper there came Monty Parker, Albert Saxton, Gilbert, Hine–Haycock, Knox & his wife, Linetta, & Mary.
So came to an end my last Sunday in Westminster for some months.

On April 13th 1909 my wife and I left England for America, and did not return until August 6th.
Some account of our doings during that interval is preserved in a separate journal.
