Christmas Day, 1907.

Seasonable weather. 266 communicants, and a fair congregation. Rashdall assisted at the Choral Celebration. I preached on the words from the Gospel, ''He came unto his own, & they that were His own, received Him not''. In the afternoon I attended Evensong in the Abbey, where Carols were sung.
