Saturday, November 19th, 1904.
Mr Knowling came to see me this afternoon, and finally accepted (with much expression of gratitude) my proposal for Harold. I tried my best to say just exactly the truth, & to raise no false hopes: but whether or not I succeeded who shall say?
Later Harold came, & wrote letters for me.
