Good Friday, April 3rd, 1931.
I remained in bed until the evening. The post brought me a very kind letter from Miss Bigge in acknowledgement of my condolence in her bereavement.
"May I venture to say that nothing gave him greater happiness than his friendship with you. I love what you say about his unaffected piety, as it puts into words what I knew, but could not express."
That is pleasant to read, and I think but sincere in the writer, and true in itself.
The weather forecast for the holiday is bad.
