Wednesday, August 20th, 1924.
I sent a cheque for £400 to Messrs Drake & Gorham, the firm engaged in installing the electric light. Also, I wrote civilly to Colonel Burdon, sending on to him the name of a clergyman, commended to me by Downing of the Eccl: Comm. I worked at the Charge for about six hours, morning & afternoon, and produced 19 pages! In the afternoon I walked in the Park with Ernest.
