August 12th, 1920.

I worked at the Swedish Lecture, but with woefully small result. After lunch I attended the meeting of the Diocesan Club for Women & Girls, & made a speech. Then I went to the Archdeacon's Garden Party. The Bishop of London was there.

I wrote to Sykes and Budworth, offering them appointment as honorary chaplains.
