Friday, November 29th, 1918.
I walked to Lambeth under a dropping sky, & in a murky atmosphere. The Archbishop made a statement of his behaviour in respect of the Church & State Report. It cried for answer, but I said nothing being under his roof. I came away in time to lunch at the Club. Then I went to Paddington & returned to Hereford.
