I left ^for^ Durham at 7.20 a.m., and arrived at Chester–le–Street about 8.40 p.m. The car met me at the station, and carried me to Lumley. I found Lady Londonderry alone, & dined pleasantly. At York I had a wait of 3 hours, and went to call on the Dean, whom I found at home.
