1495th day

The morning was fine, but the weather became sultry, and, as the afternoon drew towards evening there was a considerable thunderstorm. In the morning I was visited by Mr C. H. Scott of Queen's College, Oxford who desires to be ordained. He is coming as master to the Cathedral School. I advised him to apply to Treherne for a title. After lunch Streeter and I walked by the river, and had much conversation.
