Heavy rain with thunder. I spent the morning at the Convocation, where nothing worth naming was done, lunched at the Athanaeum, and returned to Hereford viâ Gloucester. My journey was relieved by the conversation of my vis–à–vis Brevet Col. G. Sims Woodhead, Professor of Pathology, Cambridge. The Archdeacon came in to see me after dinner.
