1337th day

This day was wasted, partly because I was tired, partly because there was idleness in the atmosphere. For the Bank Holiday was generally kept in Hereford. In the afternoon I went to the Palace, and there started digging in the garden. It is lamentable to see nothing being done in the way of planting. I wrote to Jack Boden, Mary Radford, Reichel, & the Bp. of Manchester.
