Maundy Thursday, March 28th, 1918.
1333rd day
A wet morning: a bright & blustering afternoon: a wet evening. I took Harold to the Palace, which looked its worst in the damp, dull weather. He went back to London by the midday train. I had a meeting of the clergy on the question of the Munition Workers' Clubs: then I confirmed 170 persons in Holy Trinity Church: then I had an interview with the female churchwarden of Bredwardine. I sent a telegram of 48 words to the "Daily News" in response to an editorial request for a Good Friday message: & I wrote some letters.
