I attended Mattins; worked at the sermon; cleared up my room with George's assistance; entertained Hadow & Greener at lunch: attended the 2nd meeting of the Committee on "the Church's duty towards social questions", at which Blackett & Greener attended as witnesses: and worked in the garden for 1½ hours. In my shirt–slieves [sic] I received Pemberton & Moulsdale.
