I left Hotham in time to catch the early train from Hull, which brought me to Durham about noon. I attended Evensong, and walked with Logic. Then I wrote letters, but was interrupted by Captain Roberts, who came to ask whether I wd "use my influence with the Government" in order to get the local organ–building works used for munitions.
