913th day

I went to the Cathedral at 8 a.m., & there received the Holy Communion. Then I set to work on my letter to the Bishop of London, finished it by lunch time, copied it, & sent it off before Lord Durham came to fetch me for the 'War Loan Meeting' at Chester–le–Street. We went first to the Hermitage, & there had an early dinner. Then we went to the meeting, which was well attended. I seconded the resolution.
