I worked rather fruitlessly at the Article. I attended Mattins and Evensong. I wrote to Ernest. I walked with Olive after tea, and had a very pleasant talk. We grow closer pals every day. There came to dinner Major Vane–Tempest; and Hughes. So we had some more singing, and so to bed.
