Beyond reading my Lessons and celebrating after Mattins, I have done nothing but attend the services. Cruickshank came to see me after tea, and I wrote a few letters. There is nothing else to record. Lillingston is in residence. He preached extemporaneously & wandered widely: but it seemed to me that the congregation was larger than usual. The North still enjoys this Evangelical tub–thumping.
