Pemberton called for me, & motored me to the Hospital, where the quarterly meeting of the Governors was held. Moulsdale called, & had some conversation. He is a thorough–going High Churchman, & a clever wire–puller: our personal relations have hitherto been pleasant. Miss Ritson arrived to 'qualify' by a fictional residence for marriage in the Cathedral. Also Miss Sergeant, one of the selected candidates for the Headship of the Ladies' Hostel. They will meet their fate tomorrow.
I discovered, rather to my disappointment, that Warburton's notes on Neal's 'Puritans' were included by Hurd in his edition of W's works.
