193rd day

This day was strictly normal. Some writing in the morning, & the composition of a short sermon for the troops, a walk with Logic in the afternoon, and Clarence Stock's arrival in the evening: voilà tout. The claims of 'hand to mouth' business suffice to destroy the possibility of any greater work, but not to provide in themselves an adequate justification for the failure. The "Challenge" (now, I suspect, financially moribund) includes my Christmas sermon.
