190th day

I travelled to York in order to attend the meeting of Convocation. On arriving in that city I first got my hair cut, a duty too long postponed. Then I drove out to Bishopthorpe, where a pleasant party of bishops & laymen had assembled. After dinner I had some talk with Lang, and extracted from him a promise to preach in the Cathedral on the Founders & Benefactors Commemoration next year.
