145th day
Violent sleety rain to start with. I finished a short sermon for the troops; & then went out and paid 'Christmas Boxes' to diverse of the College servants. After lunch Marion & I walked. The ground was still very slippery, & I measured my length on it in comfortless ignominy. I attended Evensong in the Cathedral. Linetta arrived for a visit.
