The violence of the wind has not yet abated. I laboured all day at the Lecture for the 'Lit: & Phil' at Newcastle next Monday. I attended the meeting of the Church Defence Committee, and then went to the Cathedral for Evensong. After dinner I wrote two letters to my brother Arthur, & to Jack Boden.
