Not feeling well, I resolved to abandon the journey to Leeds, and sent a telegram of excuse to the Chairman of the Ripon Clergy College Committee. Save for my attending Evensong in the Cathedral, I spent the day in the house, solacing myself with the new volume of Disraeli's 'Life' which has just arrived.
