Thursday, November 13th, 1913.

Dr Stuart came before I got up, & sounded me. There was nothing seriously wrong: but the cough is persistent and annoying.

I presided at a drawing room meeting in aid of Dr Barnardo's Homes held in Mrs Tucker's house. The Judge & Lady Scrutton dined here: the dining party were the following:–

  • Archdeacon, Mrs & Miss Watkins
  • Bishop & Mrs Tucker
  • Major & Mrs Rogerson
  • Pemberton, his wife & daughter
  • The Judge's Marshal
  • Dolphin

These with the Scruttons & ourselves made up the number to 16.
