Dr Stuart came before I got up, & sounded me. There was nothing seriously wrong: but the cough is persistent and annoying.
I presided at a drawing room meeting in aid of Dr Barnardo's Homes held in Mrs Tucker's house. The Judge & Lady Scrutton dined here: the dining party were the following:–
- Archdeacon, Mrs & Miss Watkins
- Bishop & Mrs Tucker
- Major & Mrs Rogerson
- Pemberton, his wife & daughter
- The Judge's Marshal
- Dolphin
These with the Scruttons & ourselves made up the number to 16.
