Thursday, August 15th, 1912.
We serve a God of pure eyes, who hath pronounced blessing upon the pure in heart, & threatened that dogs & unclean persons shall stand without the gate of the holy City: notwithstanding therefore many a fool's bolt, if that be Puritanism which many so esteem, it becometh all the people of God, much more His Ministers, in that way which they so term, to serve the God of their Fathers.

I showed Lady Limerick & her son, Lord Glentworth, over the Abbey. They really seemed to be interested, though they had not much historical or literary knowledge of their own, to assist my illustrative comments.
