Thursday, November 16th, 1911.
The 'Times' prints the précis of my Address to the Congregational Board. In the course of the day I received the following telegram from the Bishop of St David's: 'Cordial thanks for incomparably sanest & strongest utterance ever made on disendowment. It permanently lifts up ethical level of discussion & cannot but do untold good all round. Writing.'
