I walked with the Dean to Lambeth; & there found the other members of the Psycho–therapeutic Committee. We deputationed the Primate. He was most diplomatic.

Afterwards he called me back to ask what I thought ought to be the course taken by the Church in the Welsh Disestablisht conflict. I urged him to refuse the merely partisan attitude recommended by men like Cripps.

In the afternoon Ella & I went to the Matinée of 'The War God' in 'His Majesty's Theatre', for which Sir Herbert Tree had sent me complimentary tickets.
