14th Sunday after Trinity, August 28th, 1910. Artarman.

Deluges of rain. I went to the Episcopal Church, & heard a sermon which made me angry & melancholy, the first that such preaching should be offered in the pulpit, the last that it should be welcomed in the pew.

In the afternoon I wrote letters to Marion, Mary, and another of the Confirmation Boys.
