Saturday, August 27th, 1910. Artarman, Row.
Another wet day. After breakfast I wrote letters to Linetta, and to some more confirmation boys. In the afternoon Archie Parker–Smith and I walked to Helensburgh & back. After dinner I read the 'Deerslayer' by Fennimore Cooper, indicating by my choice of literature the debased intellectual position into which I have fallen.
