Monday, October 11th, 1909.
I wrote letters before breakfast: and spent the forenoon in attending a Chapter meeting. The Bishop of Stepney called in the course of the afternoon.
A foolish young man named Platt called to see me ostensibly in the interest of his soul; but really in any interest but that.
Miss Lister, Ella, & I went to the Vaudeville Theatre, & saw "The Brass Bottle", a ludicrous performance indeed.
