7th Sunday after Trinity, August 2nd, 1908.

I celebrated at 8 a.m. in S. Margaret's; Hine–Haycock assisted. There were 25 comts, including my guests, the Bishops of North Dakota, and North Carolina.

At 10 a.m. I went to the Abbey. The Bishop of Utah preached an excellent sermon on 'The Transfiguration'. There were about 180 commts. The Sub–Dean celebrated.

I preached at 3 p.m. The Abbey was very full. Addis preached both times in S. Margaret's.

I attended the evening service in the Abbey & listened to a long & wandering oration from the Precentor.
