2nd Sunday after Trinity, June 28th, 1908.
Only 13 comts at 8 a.m. when I celebrated in S. Margts.
There was a large congregation at Matins, but the proportions of the sexes was disconcerting. The Bishop of Truro was in church. I preached on "The Social Influence of Christianity". The collection exceeded £20. Sir William, & Lady Bilsland came to lunch.
At Evensong there was but a small congregation. I preached on ''The Self–suppression of the Baptist''.

On Tuesday, the 30th June, we went to Winchester for the Pageant, being most kindly entertained by the Fearons.
On Wednesday, the 1st July, we came back to Westminster. In the evening I dined with the judge at the Franco–British Exhibition, where Lord Strathcona presided over a large company to the glory & honour of the Dominion of Canada. At our table were Mr Skinner, Mr Campbell, the Attorney General of Manitoba, Parkin, & two others.
On the 3rd of July I baptized Ralph StGeorge Brian Gore the son of Sir Ralph & Lady Gore.
