Raleigh stayed here, but was out all day. I wasted my time (α) in writing a shoal of letters (β) in attending a meeting of the School managers (γ) in correcting proofs of the Contemporary Article.
We gave a dinner party in the evening. The guests were the following:
- Sir Thos Raleigh
- Col. & Mrs Fitzpatrick
- Dr & Mrs Gow
- Prof & Mrs Boevy
- Mr & Mrs Suter
- Beeching
- Albert Saxton
- A young lady brought by Mrs Gow.
With ourselves, 14 in all.
Beeching, Raleigh & I had some converse after the rest had departed.
