Monday, May 14th, 1906.

Before breakfast I changed a cheque (£10): At 10 a.m. we made a start for an excursion into the Rhone valley. At Bex we changed into an electric railway which carried us to [sic] The views were amazingly beautiful. The Dent du Midi is a dominating factor from every point of view. Having lunched at the Hotel Belvedere we began our return journey, and had tea on the way. We were back again in the Hotel about 6 p.m.
