Wednesday, November 8th, 1905.

My 42nd birthday. I conducted a Memorial Service in S. Margaret's for Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, a brother of the Duke of Buccleugh [sic].

After evensong in the Abbey I walked with Kirschbaum the length of the Embankment.

Tommie Hall came to see me.

After dinner I went round to see Beeching, and we prepared our report on the Constitution of the Abbey. Then I returned to my room, and wrote letters.

Letters of goodwill came to me from.

  1. Carissima
  2. Marion
  3. Alfred Spelling
  4. Albert Saxton
  5. Rosa Saxton
  6. Geordie Gore
  7. Admiral Rolfe
