Saturday, February 11th, 1905.

My wife went off to Corfe Castle on a visit to Grace Bankes. Before leaving we went together into the Chapel, and I ‘churched' her. At noon I celebrated a marriage in S. Margaret's, and during the afternoon, Harold and I walked into the city, and visited S. Bartholomew's, Smithfield.

Then I dined with Sidney Lee at 108A Lexham Gardens, W. Kensington. It was a pleasant party of historians. Especially I had some conversation with Hunt, the co-editor with Stephens of the History of the Church of England.
