Thursday, October 6th, 1904.

I wrote many letters in the forenoon: & then went to S. Margaret's for the Memorial Service in connection with Sir Wm Harcourt's funeral. There was a great crowd. Wilberforce read the lesson: Page Roberts read the prayers: & the Dean gave the Benediction. I attended Evensong in the Abbey, after service the ‘Dead March' was played.
